100 jobs saved as manufacturer sold out of administration

A Hull-based door manufacturer has been sold out of administration in a deal which saves more than 100 jobs.

Summerbridge Doors Limited has manufactured MDF doors and cabinets for almost 30 years, trading from premises on Springfield Way in Anlaby, Hull.

Keith Marshall and James Miller of RSM Restructuring Advisory LLP were appointed joint administrators of the company on Wednesday 6 November.

Following the appointment of administrators, Summerbridge Doors was immediately sold to Humber Doors Limited after an accelerated marketing process to identify a buyer.

Annabel Gray of RSM Restructuring Advisory LLP, who led the sale of business, said: “This was a challenging transaction to deliver within a tight timescale but the deal is not only good news for the employees, but it also presents future opportunities for the supply chain.

“The competitive marketing process ensured the best realisation for the business and assets was achieved for the benefit of all stakeholders and a return to unsecured creditors is anticipated.”

The joint administrators worked with Rollits LLP and Sanderson Weatherall on this transaction.
