A Wakefield-based specialist fabricator has secured £2m worth of new business in 2018.

Conservatory Outlet, which employs 130 people at a 60,000 sq ft facility in Thornes Lane Wharf, has also seen turnover increase to £18.3m this year.

The manufacturer, supplier and installer of home renovation solutions has also completed its largest product launch to date, introducing the ‘Extreme Collection’ of window and doors to the market.

Michael Giscombe, managing director at Conservatory Outlet, said: “We are continually innovating our products, the technology we use and the customer service we deliver and it appears to be paying off with year-on-year growth since 2013.

“Our Yorkshire factory has also enjoyed significant investment in advanced production capabilities and we’ve matched this spending in the creation of 43 new jobs that ensures we have the skills we need to meet demand.

“With the addition of Bon Accord Glass in Aberdeen and Styleglaze in Daventry this year, we have boosted our geographic coverage even further and are able to support even more customers.”

Greg Kane, CEO of Conservatory Outlet, added: “We are very proud of our Yorkshire roots and our role in supporting a diverse and talented manufacturing community that is a key contributor to the Wakefield economy.”
