Glazing firm’s order book sold

The order book of Bradford-based Niamac Developments, trading as SafeGlaze UK, has been sold as the firm goes through the administration process.

The firm last month appointed administrators and ceased trading immediately. All of its 132 employees were made redundant.

Now, its order book has been sold to Warmseal Newcastle, a household name and market leader in the North East for around 26 years.

Steve Miller, Director of Warmseal, said: “We are delighted to confirm we have acquired the order book that existed at the time Niamac Developments Ltd went into administration. This news should reassure customers that have placed orders and we will be making contact with them as a matter of priority to discuss and book in their installations.”

Joint administrators Robert Adamson, Mike Kienlen and Mark Ranson of Armstrong Watson agreed the sale.

Adamson said: “This deal will ensure that customers of the Company, the majority of whom have paid a deposit without having any reassurance that work will be done, will now have the opportunity to have the work they ordered completed by Warmseal.”
