One week countdown to inaugural Yorkshire Leadership Awards
It is the one week countdown until the inaugural Yorkshire Leadership Awards, when more than 230 senior business figures will come together to celebrate achievements across the region.
TheBusinessDesk.com’s inaugural leadership awards lunch on Wednesday 28 November promises to be an inspiring afternoon celebrating both individual and company successes. The final remaining tickets can be booked online.
The awards are supported by headline sponsor Leeds Beckett University’s Leeds Business School. Award categories are sponsored by Progeny, Ellis Whittam, Brewin Dolphin and West and North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce.
Rugby league player Jamie Peacock will be the keynote speaker at the awards, when he will talk about how strong leadership and teamwork can lead to great success. Peacock is widely acknowledged as one of the best players of the Super League era. As a player, he led from the front and led his teams to glory while earning the respect from his team mates and his opponents in both hemispheres through his determination and commitment. In a distinguished career for Bradford Bulls and Leeds Rhinos, Peacock won nine league titles, four Challenge Cups and four World Club Challenge trophies.
More than 35 leaders from across Yorkshire have been shortlisted, representing business, professional services, academia and third sector. The event will raise money for TheBusinessDesk.com’s annual charity partner – Leeds Community Foundation.
Afterwards, there will be a drinks reception held at Banyan, with all guests receiving a complimentary drink on arrival.
The winners will be revealed at the awards lunch, to be held at The Queens in Leeds from 12noon-3pm.
