Tech company completes opening of new global HQ

SSG Insight, the workplace management solutions firm, has invested in a new global HQ in the centre of Wakefield.

The software provider marked the move to the new 5,657 sq ft office at 2 Burgage Square in Merchant Gate with an opening event on Thursday 22 November.

The firm also has offices in Australia, Canada and Poland.

Local dignitaries, including Mary Creagh MP and Wakefield Mayor Cllr Stuart Heptinstall joined SSG Insight partners, customers and employees to discuss how the tech ecosystem and Northern Powerhouse continues to attract businesses to the area.

Ian Dowd, group chief marketing officer said: “We’re delighted to open our new global headquarters in the heart of Yorkshire. The North is increasingly challenging London by leading UK’s fourth industrial tech revolution.

“Investment in local infrastructure, faster internet speeds and more advanced transport systems, among other things, have resulted in a surge of businesses moving to northern cities such as Wakefield, Sheffield, Newcastle, Leeds and Manchester.

“We’re in good company, and we’re confident that our new location provides the best place for our team to thrive as we enter an exciting new phase in our growth journey.”
