Terry and Liz Bramall

There are only a five days left to enter the Yorkshire Business Masters Awards 2019.

TheBusinessDesk.com is to host the ninth Yorkshire Business Masters Awards, which will recognise the achievements of firms of all sizes across the region, on Thursday March 28 2019 at The Queens in Leeds.

Nominations for the awards, which boast the very best in business achievements, must be submitted by the deadline of Friday 7 December 2018. To enter, click here

There will be 13 awards presented on the evening, including two new awards – Family Business of the Year and Property Business of the Year. The end of the evening will culminate in an award presented to the Ambassador of the Year; somebody who has shown an outstanding contribution and played an instrumental part in marking the region thrive.

Rahman Ravelli has thrown its support behind the 2019 awards by sponsoring the International Trade award category. Aziz Rahman, of Rahman Ravelli, said: “At Rahman Ravelli we place great emphasis on doing everything possible to help businesses develop and prosper by ensuring they can manage any issues as they arise. We see the Masters as a great way to recognise business achievement and we are very pleased and very proud to be involved in something which is so positive.”

The awards event is a brilliant networking opportunity with around 300 people in attendance.

The 2018 Ambassador award was presented to two people for the first time – Dr Terry and Liz Bramall – for their significant contribution to the region through their business Keepmoat and, more recently, through their Foundation which they started with a £100m endowment.

“I’m gobsmacked – can I say ‘gobsmacked’ as a Yorkshire woman? – absolutely thrilled to bits,” said Liz.

Terry added: “It’s quite incredible. I did wonder when the testimony was being read out whether it was really me.

“It’s been over 50 years, there’s a lot of work in there. What’s been emphasised tonight is when the winners have addressed their teams and people, that’s where it’s been a joy.

“We had 3,000 people, there wouldn’t have been room for all of them up here on the stage.”
