Power engineering firm invests over £200,00 in HQ development

Power engineering firm Padd Energy is investing more than £200,000 in developing its Harrogate headquarters after securing a raft of energy and renewables deals.

The firm, which was launched five years ago by Chris Paddey, has recently won contracts to work on a 4.8MW waste wood Combined Heat and Power plant and a 6MW biomass gasification project.

Padd Energy has also been involved in district heating networks and the development of battery storage solutions for UK university and hospital schemes.

Paddey said: “We are involved in some exciting and innovative combined heat and power, district heating and renewable energy schemes up and down the country, working with some of the biggest players in the industry such as Hyosung Corporation, who are developing a large waste to energy plant in Wellingborough.

“Over the past five years we have enjoyed steady growth and it’s now time to step up our expansion and invest in our head office in Harrogate to accommodate growth.”
