People: Insurance brokers appoints executive; Customer data specialist hires product owner; and more

JM Glendinning, the Leeds-based insurance broking, financial and health and safety services group, has appointed Wendy Cornwell-Vernon to its team as private client account executive.

Bringing over 25 years’ experience of working in the insurance industry to the role, Cornwell-Vernon moves into the insurance broking market having previously held positions within insurer firms.

Cornwell-Vernon began her career working for General Accident in a temporary role and has since held positions as a broker development manager at RSA and more recently as a development underwriter at Hiscox in York.

She joins JM Glendinning’s private clients team which specialises in arranging insurance for families and individuals by tailoring solutions to the client’s needs.

ResearchBods, the Leeds-based specialists in customer data and intelligence, has appointed Mark Cattlin as Product Owner.

Cattlin joins from Morrisons where he was IT Business Analyst within retail technology, focussing on the requirements and implementation of large scale in-store projects.

His role at ResearchBods will focus on the development roadmap for ex-plor, the companies solution for access panels and insight communities.

Dave Naylor, Chief Technical Officer at ResearchBods, said: “As our platform continues to develop at a rapid pace, we needed someone whose sole responsibility was to own the change from conception right through to delivery.

“Mark’s expertise in technology paired with his excellent project management skills made him the perfect fit for this role.”

Leeds-based Saftronics has announced that Tracy Wilkes has been appointed as the newest member of the project management team.

She has gained experience in the oil and gas and chemical sectors throughout her career, more recently whilst working at Synectics Systems as a project engineer.

Mark Godfrey, Managing Director, said: “Saftronics have a number of high profile projects in many different sectors and Tracy will be a great asset to our project management team.”
