Multi-million pound private hospital building nears completion

A state-of-the-art Private Hospital in Rotherham will open in January 2019 following a million-pound phased refurbishment plan.

Kinvara replaces the New Birkdale Clinic that previously occupied the site. The hospital will provide a number of surgical and medical services and will also be a Centre of Excellence for lipoedema surgery.

Kinvara was acquired by The Karri Clinic and their aim is to offer an unrivalled level of healthcare in the North.

“The hospital has been furnished to a 5-star hotel standard – you’re unlikely to find anything like it – and we have modern, comfortable consultation rooms and treatment rooms, 20 en-suite inpatient rooms and two advanced operating theatres. Perhaps testament to the interior standards is that we are only one of just three private healthcare providers in the UK and Ireland; to be accepted to stock Molton Brown products throughout the patient bathrooms and bedrooms, a small but powerful reflection of the high standards we promote.”

Kinvara Private Hospital will also be a Centre of Excellence for the chronic, debilitating fat disorder known as lipoedema, a disease that is thought to affect up to 10% of women in the UK.

Atkinson, added: “This is the first phase of Kinvara’s refurbishment, with phase two being an extended clinical area and phase three a patient hotel which will be situated on site – all of which  will be completed by the end of 2019. It’s not just the look and feel of the hospital that we’ve focused our attention on, it’s also the people that we’re hiring and the specialist Consultants and healthcare providers who will work within Kinvara.
