Work to start on £3.5m homes development

Residential property developer Rockliffe Homes has partnered with Doncaster-headquartered Keepmoat Homes for its latest development, which will bring six high specification properties to the outskirts of Norton, near Malton in North Yorkshire.

The announcement follows the successful acquisition of a 2.27 acre plot of land, which boasts its own private wooded area and sits adjacent to a new Keepmoat Homes development – which was also granted planning permission to build 79 two, three and four bedroom properties on the Langton Road site in May this year.

The £3.5m Rockliffe project is set to further complement Keepmoat’s plans to bring a mix of high quality houses to suit a variety of potential buyers to the area. Subject to a planning approval, work is anticipated to start in early 2019.

Rockliffe’s Development Director, Alex Spencer-Mills, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be partnering with Keepmoat in order to facilitate the acquisition of this land in Norton, which we believe provides an ideal location on which to build a number of high-specification, bespoke executive homes that will meet the needs of home-buyers in the area.

“Part of our unique offering is that we are not beholden to a limited range of house designs, and so we can take stock of the land in question and adapt our style and approach to deliver a truly unique development that complements and enhances its surroundings.

“On this occasion, this approach led us to a parcel of land which sits alongside a larger Keepmoat development which we felt provided an excellent opportunity for development, and we are looking forward to pressing ahead with the build once planning has been officially granted.”

Mark Leaf, Land & Partnerships Director at Keepmoat, added: “As part of our plans to deliver this stunning new community we are also delighted to be partnering with Rockliffe Homes, and are confident that their plans for six executive homes set in unique surroundings will serve to further enhance the development as a whole.

“We trust that this is the first of many projects that we will be working on together moving forward.”
