Historic mill office scheme now fully let

A nineteenth century mill office in Huddersfield is now fully let after welcoming a sixth tenant.

Park Valley House, located at the centre of Park Valley Business Park in Lockwood, is a 6,000 sq ft heritage building.

The latest occupier is the Edinburgh-based City Partnership (UK), a provider of corporate and fund services. The firm has taken 510 sq ft of Grade A office space.

Other occupiers of the three-storey building are Alpha UK, Reconnect Psychology Ltd, PROHMS, XCL and Park Valley Huddersfield Ltd, the owners and developers of Park Valley House.

Martin Duckett of Park Valley Huddersfield Ltd said: “We have been able to transform a derelict industrial site into a modern business park, with first class industrial units and a wonderful heritage building in Park Valley House.”

Andrew Lecomber-Peace of City Partnership added: “With the growth of our registrar services business over the past two years, we decided to open an office down here to complement our Edinburgh office.

“The obvious choice was to look at the surrounding areas, so we considered offices in West Yorkshire locations such as Huddersfield and Wakefield. Park Valley has a lot of positive features, which made the decision to set up here an easy one.

“It is private and set back from the main road; the views are very picturesque and ‘typically Yorkshire’; IT facilities and internet are first rate; there is free parking for office staff and enough spaces for visitors; and the whole complex is secure.”

Sarah-Jayne Lishman of l property consultancy Dove Haigh Phillips, which is marketing Park Valley House and Park Valley Business Park, also said: “Park Valley House offers magnificent character space in an impressive heritage building. It has been refurbished to an exceptional standard, effortlessly mixing modern and historic features, whilst the views over the River Holme and Park Valley are gorgeous.

“More specifically, it boasts fantastic lighting, on-site parking and meeting room facilities, which all create a fantastic and dynamic office environment. Altogether a significant amount of money has been spent on this very sensitive and comprehensive restoration and it shows,” she said. “It is unique in this area.”
