Warehouse units totalling 179,000 sq ft to be delivered at South Yorkshire distribution park

The first phase of an industrial and distribution park in Sheffield is set to be delivered by construction contractor J F Finnegan.

Phase One of Bessemer Park consists of the construction of two industrial/warehouse units, comprising 45,000 sq ft and 134,000 sq ft.

Construction work is set to start this month and is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2019.

The entire site benefits from an open planning consent for up to 850,000 sq ft of industrial and logistics accommodation.

Dawa Singh, head of pre-construction at J F Finnegan, said: “We are delighted to have secured this project and look forward to working with PLP. J F Finnegan has played a significant role in major regeneration schemes within the Sheffield City Region for over 70 years.

“We are passionate about Sheffield and proud to be a part of this latest redevelopment project which will enhance our local economy and provide a significant number of new employment opportunities.”
