Endless-backed commercial fleet provider completes £13m acquisition

A provider of specialist commercial vehicles, which is backed by private equity firm Endless LLP, has completed a deal worth more than £13m to extend its nationwide operation.

Go Plant Fleet Services has acquired a large proportion of the business and assets of Gulliver’s Truck Hire.

This deal is expected to boost overall revenue at Go Plant Fleet Services to more than £85m.

Matthew Jubb, investment director at Leeds-based Endless LLP, said: “We are delighted to support Go Plant Fleet Services on this deal which adds to a series of other outstanding achievements in the business over the last 12 months. The team worked hard to deliver a seamless transition of the new vehicles into the existing fleet to ensure minimal disruption for customers.”

“2019 will be an exciting time for the business, further proving its capabilities and commitments to become a market-leading provider in specialist commercial vehicles.”

Mark Gallimore, commercial director of Go Plant Fleet Services, added: “This acquisition strengthens both our contract hire and spot hire fleets, reinforces our status as a market leader and further enhances our capacity to deliver an all-encompassing solution for specialist commercial vehicles.

“Many of the vehicles involved in the deal are already out on contracts with waste and environmental services companies and local authorities.”

The Go Plant Fleet Services team were supported by the Endless LLP deal team, led by Matthew Jubb and supported by Linda Nguyenova.

The company, which remains based at its original headquarters in Leicestershire, now has revenue of around £85m and employs around 790 staff across 44 depots nationwide.

Endless LLP has offices in Leeds, London and Manchester and is currently investing its Fund IV of £525m. Endless looks to support buyouts, non-core acquisitions from larger groups, turnarounds and financial restructurings.
