Two holiday parks to be refurbished with seven-figure funding package

An East Yorkshire holiday park operator is to refurbish two holiday parks with the support of a seven-figure funding package from HSBC UK.

Park Leisure Marketing operates the Beachcomber Holiday Park and Entertainment Centre in Cleethorpes and Longbeach Leisure Park in Hornsea.

With HSBC UK’s financial backing, the business is redeveloping Beachcomber’s 200-seat Sports Bar & Restaurant, known as Bucket’s, and updating general facilities and accommodation across both it’s parks.

Once completed, the redevelopment will create 12 new jobs and increase turnover by 20% over the next 12 months.

Richard Varley, director of Park Leisure Marketing, said: “Since starting the business in 1991 we have always looked at new ways to improve our Holiday Parks. Beachcomber and Longbeach offer fantastic accommodation and entertainment facilities for holiday-makers across the UK, as demonstrated by our upcoming event with boxing superstar Tyson Fury in Cleethorpes. With the backing of HSBC UK, we’re looking forward to welcoming regulars and new faces alike for many more years to come.”

Jamie McCullough, relationship director for West & South Yorkshire, HSBC UK, added: “It’s an exciting time for the British tourism industry, which enjoyed a record-breaking summer last year due to increased demand for home-grown breaks across the UK.

“Park Leisure Marketing has proved it knows how to capitalise on opportunities and is not afraid to invest to keep its Parks fresh.”
