2.8-acre residential opportunity launches to market

A residential opportunity in the village of Kirk Hammerton near York has been launched to market.

The 2.8-acre site to the south of Station Road is included in the emerging Local Plan and has a Draft Allocation for around 30 dwellings.

Kirk Hammerton is situated in the vale of York around 10 miles west of the city and 12 miles east of Harrogate.

The village comprises a range of amenities including a Church of England primary school, restaurant, petrol station and grocery store.

The nearby village of Green Hammerton houses a surgery, village pub and another primary school.

Carter Jonas, the national property consultancy, has brought the site to market on behalf of the landowner.

Steven Soper, senior surveyor at Carter Jonas, said: “The site can be considered a sustainable addition to the village of Kirk Hammerton and would add to the existing housing stock provided within the village.

“The landowner is looking to enter into Development Agreement with a suitable partner to promote the site for development and submit a planning application.”
