Turnover tops £20m at engineering firm

A Leeds-based engineering firm has topped £20m in revenues after securing HS2 contracts. Soil Engineering has grown its turnover by 38% in four years - from £15m in 2015 to £20.7m in 2018.  The company has expanded its workforce and now employs 177 people. Its staffing levels are at their highest since the financial crisis, which it says demonstrates the growth and confidence that HS2 is creating, years before the first trains arrive into Leeds station.
