Digital marketing agency sees turnover surpass £13m in ‘record’ year

Digital marketing agency Search Laboratory has reported a 20% rise in turnover to £13.2m, while pre-tax profits also increased by 49% to £1.3m.

With offices in Leeds, London and New York, the agency currently employs 150 people after making 47 new appointments in 2018.

This growth over the last year has been spearheaded by Search Laboratory winning new business from several global brands, including Ann Summers, Moonpig and Wren Kitchens.

Ian Harris, founder and executive chairman, said: “When I first set up Search Laboratory in 2005, it was in a tiny office in North Leeds. Today we celebrate over 150 staff, offices in Leeds, London and New York and a turnover of over £13m.

“This record growth is from the hard work and dedication of the staff and I am incredibly proud of how far we have come.

“We believe that our strong international offering, data-driven approach and Google Marketing Platform partnership sets us apart from our competitors, while our dedicated team and the work we do is what keeps our clients with us year after year.”  

The agency’s service offering comprises holistic digital marketing, including analytics and data science, Google Analytics 360, SEO, PPC, social media and programmatic display.
