Weekender: 40 restaurants to showcase city centre food offering

Around 40 restaurants are set to be featured at Dine Sheffield in the city centre from 14 – 28 March.

Delivered by Sheffield Business Improvement District (BID), Dine Sheffield showcases cafes, restaurants, bars and pubs offering bespoke set menus for £5, £10 or £15.

It is a flagship event of Alive After Five, the BID’s strategy to transform the early evening economy by promoting the city centre’s food and drink, shopping and leisure offerings from 5pm.

Dine Sheffield will feature independent businesses including Birdhouse Tea Bar and Kitchen, Sakushi, FirePit Rocks and Bungalows and Bears, as well as national chains like Revolucion de Cuba, The Botanist and Pieminister.

Diane Jarvis, Sheffield BID manager, said: “This is the fourth time Sheffield BID has brought Dine Sheffield to the city centre and it has become a real highlight on the foodie calendar.

“During Dine Sheffield thousands of diners visit Sheffield city centre to try out new restaurants or revisit an old favourite. This Dine Sheffield we have welcomed ten new restaurants to the event, a testament to Sheffield’s growing restaurant scene.

“Dine Sheffield is a flagship event of Sheffield BID’s Alive After Five strategy, which aims to invigorate the city centre’s early evening economy. Investment in the early evening economy from the hospitality sector is essential in creating a busy and welcoming city centre.”
