Morrisons turnaround ‘well on track’ as revenues hit £17.7bn

Morrisons has reported a third consecutive year of growth in revenue and profits during a “challenging period” throughout 2018. For the year ending 31 December 2018, the Bradford-headquartered supermarket saw revenues rise by 2.7% from £17.3bn to £17.7bn year-on-year. Group like-for-like sales excluding fuel were also up 4.8%, comprising contributions from retail of 1.5% (supermarkets 1.2%, online through CFCs 0.3%) and wholesale of 3.3%.
