PwC’s Yorkshire and North East team supports £10bn worth of deals in 2018

PwC’s Yorkshire and North East Transaction Services team reported a “particularly busy year” in 2018 after supporting a number of significant transactions.

Along with colleagues across the North West and the Midlands, the company’s Yorkshire and North East team worked on around 300 deals to the value of £10bn last year.

The TS team provided financial, commercial, technology, operational and tax due diligence; data analytics; sale and purchase advice; valuations support; capital markets advice and debt advisory services.

These were all delivered across a wide range of businesses and sectors, including TMT, Healthcare, Financial Services, Retail Consumer and Leisure, and Industrial Products.

Standout completions included vendor due diligence and debt advisory services in support of Polypipe’s acquisition of Manthorp Engineering, vendor due diligence on the sale of Deep Sea Electronics to Caledonia Investments and vendor due diligence on the sale of Ridgeons to Huws Gray, supported by Inflexion Private Equity.

Will Oxley, Transaction Services partner for Yorkshire and North East, said: “2018 was a particularly busy year for PwC’s Yorkshire & North East deals team, a period in which we experienced continued positive momentum in transaction volumes across a wide range of sectors.

“We have continued to invest in our specialist teams in the transactions environment working across a diverse range of industry sectors, to leverage a range of experience and skills. I’m delighted the hard work which has gone into these transactions, often involving multi-disciplinary teams, has contributed to so many successful completions.”
