GIL Baldwin has been appointed as the new chief executive of Tunstall Healthcare Group.

Mr Baldwin replaces James Buckley, who stepped down from the role at the Yorkshire-based company last year.

Tunstall provides early warning systems that tell friends or carers if an older person is in danger or has collapsed.

Mr Baldwin has joined Tunstall from Aviva, where he was managing director of the company's healthcare business.
