Specialist technology distributor swoops in for 142,000 sq ft warehouse facility

CMS Distribution, the specialist technology distributor, has agreed to a deal for a new 142,338 sq ft distribution unit at Wakefield Europort.

Known as Tri-Link 140, the new unit comprises 136,231 sq ft of warehouse space, 6,107 sq ft of office accommodation and 26 car parking spaces.

Acting on behalf of a joint venture between Kier Property, Maple Grove and Yorvale, the Industrial team at CBRE in Leeds has secured a 10-year lease term on the unit for CMS Distribution.

CBRE worked with Carter Towler and AWS in the marketing of the property.

Wakefield Europort benefits from European rail freight access through the Europort freight terminal, ready access to the deep-water Ports of Goole and Hull and five international airports within a one-hour drive.

Mike Baugh, senior director of CBRE’s Industrial team in Leeds, said: “We are delighted to confirm this new letting at Tri-Link 140, it represents a significant deal for the Yorkshire market and is fantastic news for the Wakefield/Castleford area. There are now very few new warehouse options available of this scale in the West Yorkshire area.”

Tom Gilman, managing director for Kier Property North, added: “We are delighted to announce this news.  The collective team has worked hard to achieve this letting and we are pleased to see activity in the industrial sector remain strong.”

Mark Robinson, operations director of CMS Distribution, also said: “CMS Distribution is delighted to commit to the long term occupation of his excellent building which will underpin the growth of our business in the years to come.”
