Automotive firm snaps up 2.73-acre development site

A 2.73-acre site at Vulcan Park, Doncaster, has been bought by an automotive company.

Prospect Property Group has sold the development site, adjacent to Doncaster Sheffield Airport, to Portland Autos. The site hit the market in 2017.

Paul Mack, Director at Gent Visick who negotiated the sale, said: “Since the opening of Great Yorkshire Way in 2016, providing a direct route from Junction 3 of the M18 Motorway to Doncaster Sheffield Airport, there has been a surge in activity and investment in this area. Commercial land surrounding the Airport has become a highly sought after commodity and we were inundated with interest from developers and occupiers for this plot of land.”

Clive Watson, of Portland Autos, said the firm was still planning exactly what to do with the site but that its plans would support the growth of the business.

Clarion represented the vendors, Dickinson Wood Solicitors represented the purchaser. Joint marketing agents were CBRE.
