Leeds-based Castlehouse Construction has recorded revenues of £35m in the latest financial year, a rise from £20m in the previous year.

The firm said it had secured £30m of contracts as it moves into the new financial year, representing a 230% increase on the firm’s order book at the same time last year.

The £30m of orders see the firm’s projected turnover for its tenth year sit reach £35m which represents an increase on the £20m turnover achieved in 2018/19, and demonstrates the construction company’s major growth since its turnover of £195,000 back in 2011/12.

The new instructions include three new projects for national retailer Lidl, with whom Castlehouse Construction has a national framework in place, an Aldi in Bradford, a 20 apartment scheme in Harrogate and an office refurbishment in Leeds.

Castlehouse Construction is one of the region’s fastest climbing construction companies and works within all sectors of the market including industrial, commercial, healthcare, education and residential on a design and build and traditional basis and it currently has 8 live projects on site across the UK.

The company, which employs more than 30 staff from its Leeds headquarters, was formed in 2009 by directors Richard Lumley and Frank Kofler who combined their extensive experience of working for and founding major companies in the Yorkshire region for more than 40 years.

Lumley, Chairman of Castlehouse Construction, said: “To have £30m worth of instructions in our order book as we move into the next financial year is a huge achievement for the business and cements Castlehouse as a leading player in Yorkshire’s construction industry. We are incredibly proud to be in this position in our tenth year of trading and it is a true testament to the hard work of the whole team and the strong relationships we have worked hard to build with our clients over the last decade.”
