‘Largest’ speculative industrial build in the North set for Doncaster

Developers are set to build what they say is the largest new build logistics facility of its size in the North of England.

The developers have partnered up to acquire a major site that will be used for a 408,000 sq ft speculatively-built facility.

Trebor Developments and partner Hillwood signed a contract with Lazarus Properties to acquire the 25-acre site at Gateway 4, Doncaster.

They intend to submit a planning application to develop the industrial unit on site, dubbed Gateway 4.

Work will start on site in Summer 2019 with a completion date in the first half of 2020 if planning permission is received.

Bob Tattrie, managing partner of Trebor Developments, on behalf of the partners, commented: “We are delighted to be acquiring this site from Lazarus Properties and bringing forward such a major transaction in the North, which adds to our existing pipeline of other speculative industrial schemes currently being delivered including 31 East (Rotherham).

“We anticipate our current pipeline of schemes in the North of England delivering in the order of 1 million sq ft over the next 12 months, in a range of unit sizes.”

Trebor/Hillwood are represented by agents CBRE and CPP.
