Engineering consultancy firm set to open new Yorkshire office

An engineering consultancy firm is to take office space totalling 5,660 sq ft at Wellington Place in Leeds to support its future growth.

Bath-headquartered BuroHappold Engineering will occupy the ground floor of 3 Wellington Place, with around 70 people being based at the Leeds space.

The move represents the firm’s ongoing commitment to growth in the north, which has seen the international integrated engineering consultancy firm playing a pivotal role in the development of regional construction projects, including Trinity Shopping Centre and The Armouries Museum.

The move, to take place next month, will see BuroHappold join the likes of Mazars, HMRC and Investec in Wellington Place’s newest building at the development.

Developer and Asset Manager, MEPC, made the announcement of its newest occupier at the development.

Meanwhile, work continues across the development, with 4 Wellington Place now well underway.  4 Wellington Place4 Wellington Place will finalise the eastern part of the wider Wellington Place masterplan, as the ninth building on the development. is due for completion in November 2020 and will offer a further 156,000 sq. ft. of prime commercial office space to the city.
