Digital agency hails year of ‘solid progress’

Jaywing, the Sheffield-based digital agency, has reported a year of ‘solid progress’, boosted by growth in its online marketing division and fast-growing operations in Australia.

In a trading update for the year to the end of March, the company said it expects full year EBITDA to be in-line with market expectations, a performance which it said has been achieved despite the ongoing challenging market conditions within the UK and continued Brexit uncertainty.

During the financial year, the company completed the disposal of a non-core contact centre business HSM to private equity-backed Bidco, which Jaywing says has helped the company in focusing on growing its core business in data science and digital marketing.

Chairman Martin Boddy said: “This has been a year of solid progress for Jaywing. We have seen encouraging growth in Epiphany, our online performance marketing division, and also in our fast-growing operations in Australia. We have managed our cost base carefully and exited a non-core low margin business, which has strengthened our balance sheet.

“We have enhanced core capabilities in data science and digital marketing. This, allied to our AI powered technology and collaborative “One Jaywing” operating model leaves us well placed as confidence returns to clients, and their longer term marketing plans.”

Jaywing will announce its preliminary results for the year ended 31st March 2019 in July.
