North Yorkshire IT group swoops for Leeds firm

A Ripon-based IT company has snapped up a Leeds IT firm as it aims to enhance the group’s combined services.
CCS 2000 of Ripon has acquired Leeds-based Interface (DCB) Technology (IDT).  CCS 2000 said the acquisition expanded the Group’s presence and strength in full-service IT support for small and medium-sized businesses across Yorkshire and beyond. Alongside the existing business, IDT brings additional expertise and an experienced team to the Group.
CCS 2000 has been operating for 25 years and in 2015, it merged with Fresh Mango Technologies, based in the British Virgin Islands. This allowed CCS 2000 to extend their remote support hours to UK clients from pools of technicians on both sides of the Atlantic. The firm has offices in Ripon, Reading, Lithuania and the British Virgin Islands, with servers and equipment available in even more locations (including the U.S. and Jersey).

CCS 2000 owner and group Managing Director Guy Phoenix said: “We’re delighted to have completed this acquisition. It underlines the strength of the Group’s recovery after Hurricane Irma destroyed our sister company (Fresh Mango) in the British Virgin Islands in 2017. They have fully recovered and this has allowed us to continue with our growth plans.

“IDT is a superb strategic fit for CCS; they are similarly sized and provide the same core services – Full-service IT support for small and medium-sized businesses across the region.

“Jointly, the businesses provide us with a wider geographical coverage, as well as a larger technical support team. This further enhances the service we provide to our customers. All the team members have embraced the news and are excited about the future for us. So am I!”
