Housebuilder launches seven developments totalling £155m investment

Housebuilder Barratt Developments has launched seven new developments over a seven-week period – marking a £154m investment, delivering 1,183 new homes and supporting 609 jobs across the Yorkshire region.

The firm, which includes Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes brands, has launched sites in Whitby, Harrogate, Brough, Cottingham,York and two sites in Doncaster.

Daniel Smith, Managing Director of Barratt Developments Yorkshire East, said: “We’re delighted to have launched seven brand-new developments in the Yorkshire East region, and are confident that both first-time buyers and families alike will benefit from the stunning new homes available. We’re confident that the local communities and economy in Yorkshire will benefit from the new homes and jobs available.”

The instalment of the new developments will help address a region-wide housing shortage and create over 600 employment opportunities across a number of disciplines, from construction trades through to head office support positions.
