Listed group opens new European Technology Centre
Heckmondwike-based 600 Group – a distributor, designer and manufacturer of industrial products – has opened its European Technology Centre near Halifax.
The listed firm this morning announced its new facility, which it said marked a step forward as it seeks to create a more flexible platform from which to leverage the strength of the group’s brands and grow the business into diversified niche markets internationally.
600 Group said: “Product innovation is central to the Group’s strategy as it seeks to underpin organic growth through a strong focus on product development, including launching new products that add to the higher end capabilities of the Group’s product range.”
The facility will serve as the Group’s global headquarters – integrating its offices, manufacturing and warehousing space as well as the Group’s new European Technology Centre with a dedicated year-round product showroom, demonstration and customer training capability.
The firm added that the new integrated facility would provide additional operational flexibility, benefitting from a more integrated logistics operation.
Paul Dupee, Executive Chairman, said: “This is an exciting development for the business, which reflects our continued strategy of simultaneously de-risking the Group as well as creating a strong platform for growth. This new facility will help foster product innovation and enable us to better showcase our leading capability to our customers.”
