17-bedroom North Yorkshire hotel sold off £1.5m asking price

A 17-bedroom hotel and restaurant in North Yorkshire has been sold off an asking price of £1.5m.

Loftsome Bridge Coaching House near Selby has been sold to experienced buyers, one of whom was previously a hotel general manager. The property had been extended and developed from a small farm house by the previous owners.

The family owned and operated business has been built up over the past 20 years, establishing an excellent reputation under the previous owners, Guy Oldridge and Angela Axup, who decided to sell in order to pursue other opportunities. Oldridge said: “Both Angela and I have loved our time at Loftsome Bridge however we both felt it was time to move on and let someone else take the reins. We think that Nigel, Lynda and Ivan are the ideal people to take the business forward and we wish them all the best.”

The buyers and new owners are a partnership comprising Nigel and Lynda Dibb and Ivan Imiolek, who bring with them a wealth of hospitality experience. Nigel said: “We are, as a family, really excited and delighted to have taken over Loftsome Bridge Coaching Inn having been visiting it for over 21 years.

“The hotel will now be known as Loftsome Bridge Hotel. We look to continue to build on the truly fantastic reputation locally around the outstanding food and service delivered by the whole team, who are really excited by the future plans for the property.”
