People: Client services director joins print marketing company; Kings adds to its accounts team; additions to legal and financial company

Leeds-based print and digital marketing company Telescope has announced the appointment of a client services director.

Paul Dykes joins Telescope with almost 20 years’ experience in print management, having been a category director at Webmart. He also spent 10 years as print and marketing manager at Matalan Retail and three years as head of Print and Data Quality at global, data-driven marketing company, Aimia.

The newly-created post will focus on managing existing clients as well as bringing in new business.

Paul Dykes joins Telescope following their acquisition in 2018 by direct marketing production company, Absolute DM. The merger allows Telescope to offer clients added value through more effective marketing campaign support.

Bradford-based Kings Secure Technologies has announced the promotion of Damian Sutton as its new head of strategic accounts.

He has worked for Kings for 11 years and has worked his way up from the position of technical engineer, through to account manager.

In his new role, Damian will be managing and setting the direction for the relationship with some of Kings Secure Technologies’ biggest fire and security customers.

Kings’ chief commercial officer, Tim Goodwill said: ‘Kings prides itself on the strength of its people and I am delighted that we could fulfil this position from within.

“Damian’s wealth of knowledge and broad expertise will be of great benefit to our customers and our close partnerships with them.

7Legal and Finance, the South Yorkshire-based business which offers clients both legal and financial advice, has appointed Maxine Hodson and Vicki Westwood to the team.

Maxine joins as a Trainee Solicitor from Browne Jacobson in Nottingham where she worked on a variety of transactions including new build developments, Shared Ownership and Right to Buy. Previously, Maxine worked at Aviva for 10 years before deciding to return to University to read Law.

Maxine will be working alongside Jeremy Bennett and Samantha Sellars in the company’s corporate and commercial offering. Maxine said: “I’m looking forward to working in the Yorkshire market, given 7Legal and Finance’s bespoke offering, as well as having the opportunity to continue to progress my legal career with the company.”

Vicki joins the business as a Legal PA, having previously worked at Shorts Accountants. Prior to this, Vicki spent 12 years as PA to the Financial Director at Valiant Holdings as well as 12 years at PwC.

Vicki said: “With nearly 30 years of secretarial and PA experience, I bring a high level of secretarial knowledge to 7Legal and Finance and I’m looking forward to being part of the team.”
