People: Associate joins Clarion’s corporate recovery team; Expansion for turnaround specialist; and more

Cat Tanham is the latest lawyer to join Clarion’s corporate recovery and insolvency practice which has grown into a ten-strong team, including four partners.

An associate with Higher Rights of Audience, Tanham has three years’ experience in commercial dispute resolution.

She has managed complex cases at all stages of the litigation process in County Court, High Court and the Court of Appeal as well as advising on disputes involving general contract law, debt, misrepresentation, professional negligence and fraud.

Ryan Millmore, joint managing partner and head of Clarion’s corporate recovery and insolvency team, said: “Given Cat’s experience in litigation, her appointment adds further breadth in depth as we continue to grow the practice.

“Comprising ten specialist insolvency lawyers and with Cat becoming the third lawyer to join us this year, we are now one of the largest dedicated corporate recovery practices in the region.”

Earlier this year, Lisa Smith and Ashley Armitage were appointed as senior associates.

Business turnaround and insolvency specialists Wilson Field has appointed Nathan Langfield as head of sales and marketing.

Langfield joined Wilson Field in 2014 as part of the marketing department working as a web and PPC developer. He also brought CRM management and data analysis skills.

In 2017 he was promoted to head up the digital marketing team where he has overseen a significant growth in business, particularly using digital marketing and social media.

Managing director Nick Wilson, said: “Nathan has already contributed significantly over the past five years in the development of our marketing efforts. As a company we have invested heavily in digital technology and feel that this is where the future lies.”

“In his new role Nathan will also manage all sales and marketing activities as well as a telesales team.”

Former head of marketing, Phil Meekin, continues to work at Wilson Field as a part-time consultant.

Essential Healthcare Solutions, part of the Essential Group, has strengthened its senior team with the strategic appointment of Debbie Murry as group clinical and commercial director.

She brings with her over 27 years in the healthcare industry, spent in support surfaces related services and wound care. She joins Essential from one of the UK’s market leaders in the prevention of pressure ulcers, where she began her career as nurse advisor and progressed to commercial director.

In her role at Essential Healthcare Solutions, she will be responsible for a team of 39, with a focus on developing a strategy to grow the support surface and service solutions provided by the business.

She will also be driving forward the group’s training business – Essential Training Solutions, which provides bespoke training to health and social care services, both remotely and from its training suite at its HQ in Birstall, Leeds.
