Housebuilder acquires site in North Yorkshire

Keepmoat Homes has exchanged contracts on a new site on Field Lane in Scalby, North Yorkshire.

The site which is located to the North of Scarborough could see 151 two, three and four bedroom homes built for both private sale and affordable housing, subject to planning approval by Scarborough Borough Council.

The planning application submitted by Keepmoat Homes includes the provision of public open space including a children’s play area along with contributions to improvements of local transport and pedestrian connectivity within the area, in addition to the new homes.

Dan Crew, regional managing director at Keepmoat Homes, said: “We’re delighted to have exchanged contracts on this site in Scalby. This site is part of a concerted effort from the business to grow our presence within the Scarborough market, where we have previously delivered 200 new houses on our Capella development.

“We have submitted a planning application to the council and hope to start delivering new homes on the site later this year.”
