ITI Network Services, the Sheffield-based wireless and fixed line telecoms service provider, has appointed Reza Zaher as client director and Mark Stevenson as senior project manager.

Zaher joins ITI with significant experience working for network providers, spending the past after seven years with O2 (Telefónica UK) and 11 years prior to that with TMobile.

An electronic RF (radio frequency) engineer by trade, he has designed mobile phones, receivers, transmitters and networks and brings extensive expertise of cellular network optimisation and planning.

His role will involve project and programme delivery management with multiple clients spanning a range of telecommunications technology. The business works with Europe’s largest communications companies providing telecommunications services and infrastructure in some of the most demanding environments. Recent contract wins and renewals lead to ITI – part of the fast-growing Templand Group – requiring additional permanent staff.

Stevenson has spent over two decades working in the telecoms and related industries, before which he enjoyed a 5 year career in the Army’s Royal Corps of Signals.

He takes up the permanent role at ITI having undertaken varied projects with the fast-growing firm in the past as a self-employed contractor.

Dave Newton, commercial director of ITI Network Services, said: “I’ve known Mark since 1999 and worked with him on a number of occasions over the years. Mark is a talented and hard-working telecoms expert who has always gone ‘above and beyond’ when contracting with ITI. It was a logical choice to bring him on board as a permanent team member. I’m pleased that recent growth means our business expansion continues. Recruiting Mark to this new, permanent role brings valuable expertise and experience to the business and our UK-wide clients.”
