Door manufacturer sees revenues rise 30%

Hull-based Hurst Doors, a manufacturer of PVC-U door panels, has reported a record turnover of £17.4m, an increase of 30% om last year.

The firm said it had come after a two-year long investment programme of over £1m into the business.  In the last 12 months, Hurst has grown its workforce by over 20% and installed the latest state-of-the-art machinery to support growing customer demand.

Hurst Doors manufactures over 500 composite doors and over 3000 door panels a week from its factory in Hull. Over 150 staff support a national network of over 1,300 installers.

Hayley Barker, Marketing Manager at Hurst Doors, said: “Continued investment into the business has meant we can continue to deliver on our promise to provide Hurst customers with the highest standards in quality products with a professional and personable customer service, so they’ll always feel at home with Hurst.

“It’s incredibly important for us to maintain trusted relationships with our installers and our wider supply chain partners across the UK. We will continue to invest in our team, operations and service provision so that we can ensure our customers have access to the UK’s largest selection of composite doors and PVC-U door panels, delivered by a friendly and professional team they can trust.”

The recent investment into the business follows a complete rebrand earlier in the year, with an overhaul of the marketing collateral both off and online, which is in place to support their door installer network. This significant investment included the delivery of a brand-new website with interactive customer support that is unrivalled within the industry.
