Expansion plans for packing firm

Polythene packaging manufacturer Initial Packaging Solutions has expanded to facilitate increased stock holding.

The firm has acquired space at Towngate Business Centre on Everite Road, Widnes – signing a three-year lease with Towngate for the 16,900 sq ft space, opposite its main manufacturing facility.

The fast-growing firm specialises in the supply of tamper evident security packaging, and its products are used by a wide range of clients including banks, cash in transit companies and examination boards.

The company required an additional property to facilitate increased stock holding, following a recent expansion of the business.

Finance Director of Initial, Lee Childs, said: “Having spent several years searching for suitable properties in the local area, we are delighted to have secured this unit with Towngate PLC, which will give us the space we need to continue growing our business”.

Tom Lamb, Property Manager at Towngate, added: “We are pleased to have secured the letting of Unit 6B to Initial Packaging. The space fits their needs perfectly and I am happy to report that the properties at the Towngate Business Centre, Widnes are now almost fully let.”

Towngate was represented by Darren Hill of CBRE, Liverpool.
