New jobs on the horizon at engineering business

Engineering specialists Enco is to expand its workforce to help cope with firm’s national and international growth plans.

The Elland-based company has already taken on 13 employees over the past nine months and said it now intends to recruit a further five over the coming months.

The launch earlier this year of a new 12,000 sq ft workshop in the town, has significantly increased the engineering firm’s capacity.

The business said it was looking to recruit a quality manager, commission based sales associates and referral agents, welders, pipefitters and fabricators.
Company director and owner of Enco, Jamie Moody, said: “Although we are at an exciting stage of development and expansion, we have never lost sight of our core family values.

“We are determined to create a positive environment for all our employees.

“We have a very low turnover of staff. This is testament to their commitment to the business as well as our investment in employee engagement.

“We work closely from the management down to the shop floor with regular communications and team building exercises.

“I am from the local area, and feel privileged to be able to offer employment locally to people from the area.

“There are big plans being drawn up for Elland which we are very excited about and hope to be able to support within our own growth plans.”

Enco, which was started by founders Moody and Joanne Hart from a small unit in Greetland in 2009, now employs more than 40 people across two Elland sites.

The company’s clients include ICS Cool Energy, Eurosite Power, Veolia and The Weir Group. It manufactures and installs large fabrications, skids, tanks and vessels at sites across the UK and internationally, including at prestigious locations such as Somerset House in London.
