Dental firm gets its teeth into new export market

A dental company based in West Yorkshire has demonstrated rapid growth over the last 12 months by securing its latest international market.

EthOss, which produces a material to encourage new bone growth during dental implant procedures, has appointed a dedicated distributor in Estonia.

This means its product is now available in 40 countries around the world.

The news follows the Silsden-headquartered company’s recent announcement of a trio of deals in Spain, Israel and Colombia.

Dr Paul Harrison, Managing Director of EthOss, said: “We are thrilled to have a partner in Estonia, which becomes our 40th international market, as we continue to grow EthOss around the world.

“Our Estonian distributor Prodent, based in Tallinn, sold out of their initial EthOss order and had to immediately order more, which is a very positive sign.”

He said the company’s global expansion has led to its export sales rapidly increasing this year, with a 148% rise compared to 2018.

Harrison, added: “Over the last year we’ve signed agreements with distributors in countries including Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Jordan, Australia and New Zealand.

“Our innovative synthetic bone graft technology for dental implantology provides an alternative to the animal-based products (usually cow bone) which have historically dominated the industry, marking a massive step forward in a market which has been relatively static for almost 20 years.

“It is fantastic to see this being embraced globally.”
