First trains in new £500m fleet set to take to the tracks

The first nine trains in a £500m new fleet for local rail services will start carrying customers from Monday. Train operator Arriva Rail North, known at Northern, said that nine trains will begin operating on routes between Doncaster and Leeds, Cumbria and Manchester Airport and Liverpool and Manchester Airport.
