Damian Waters said: “It is a privilege to be invited to judge the Northern Leadership awards, recognising and celebrating the people and organisations who raise the aspirations of us all.  Identifying roles models from across the North and highlighting their achievements will help others to raise their own goals, which is a real cause of celebration.”

Helen Oldham added: “I am very interested in the qualities which make an effective leader today; whether that’s being a visionary, creating a culture of readiness for change, promoting diversity or encouraging engagement and am looking forward to playing a part in recognising the leadership talent we have in the North of England.”

Nigel Brewster, Vice Chair of the Sheffield City Region Local Enterprise Partnership, said: “I’m delighted to have been asked to judge the Northern Leadership Awards. It’s important that we celebrate the people and organisation who are role models for others. CMS partner Tanya Holt said: “The North is home to some exceptional businesses and organisations, with exceptional leaders.  CMS is looking forward to working with the other judges to highlight and celebrate the depth of leadership talent in this part of the country.  Effective and extraordinary leadership will help deliver the Northern Powerhouse goals, something which will benefit the entire country.”

Maggie O’Carroll added: “The Business Desk’s Leadership Awards recognises the talents of those who meet the highest standards of leadership in business, public and third sectors across the region. I am delighted to sit on the judging panel for this prestigious celebration that will ensure that individuals and organisations are aptly rewarded for their impact in driving economic growth in the north of England.”
