Global growth for £13.2m turnover company

A Leeds-based digital marketing agency said it had seen its international turnover grow by 50% in two years.

Search Laboratory, which also has offices in London and New York, said its staff numbers had also increased from 120 in 2016 to 150 this month – a 25% rise.

Overall, the company had a turnover of £13.2million in 2018. And its international turnover rose from £3.4m in 2017 to £5.2m in 2018.

The business’s Chief Executive Officer, Chris Attewell, said: “Search Laboratory is one of the only agencies with an international offering that employs mother tongue digital experts.

“This allows us to conduct international campaigns that are linguistically and culturally faithful. Many companies rely on translators that can damage a brand and prevent successful global expansion.

“The consistent growth of our international offering shows our approach works, and we are delighted to have so many international enterprises on board.”

The agency specialises in growing businesses internationally and has a 30-strong team of mother tongue digital marketing experts, who have helped enterprises in over 35 different countries.

The turnover from Search Laboratory’s international clients has grown by 52% between 2016 and 2018, with the biggest increases coming from Europe (71%) and the US (41%).
