Employment law firm reports growth in first year

A Leeds-based employment law specialist has secured 25 national employer clients since it was first set up one year ago.

And Robinson Ralph, which was founded by husband and wife team Simon Robinson and Juliet Ralph, has recruited four new staff with plans to take on extra employees to handle increasing demand.

Robinson has previously worked in large corporate law firms for most of his career. He explained he had become disillusioned with these companies’ “one-size-fits-all” approach, so decided to set up a business capable of offering a more bespoke service.

He said: “We’ve had an amazing first year and have achieved well beyond what we’d expected in terms of growth and clients.

“We’ve increased our team with two employment lawyers and a paralegal and a mediation consultant joining us to ensure we can service our growing client base effectively, which on average is increasing by up to three new corporate clients per month.

“Juliet and I wanted to bring a refreshing approach to employment law, a move away from the traditional legal firm to one that is forward thinking, won’t bamboozle clients with legal jargon and works with them to deliver the right results.

“For next year we have ambitious plans for growth. We have been very lucky to have been approached by some well-known household names recently, so we have exciting times ahead and plans to increase our team by a further two paralegals and two employment lawyers by the end of our second year.”
