Record revenues for law firm as it smashes through £100m milestone
Gateley, the law firm which names its “fastest growing office” in Leeds, it set to break through the £100m revenue barrier in its latest full-year results.
Premlinary figures at the firm show that revenue has increased by a fifth to £103.5m, while pre-tax profit increased by over 10% to £13m.
The firm now also employs a record number of staff – up 19.8% to 907.
Gateley shareholders are set for a windfall, with a full-year pay-out of 8p per share – up over 14% from 2017.
Michael Ward, chief executive of Gateley, said: “I am delighted that our legal and professional services Group has broken the £100m revenues barrier for the first time, as we delivered another excellent financial performance whilst continuing to take advantage of opportunities to diversify revenue streams through complementary acquisitions.
“Our teamwork has, once again, enabled us to maintain strong momentum. We have continued to invest in our people, with staff numbers now approaching 1,000 employees, and had our most active year to date on strategic acquisitions, all of which have been successfully integrated.
“The new financial year has started very well and we continue to look to the future with confidence.”
Ward plans to step down from his role on 30 April 2020. Rod Waldie, who is currently the senior office partner of the Manchester office, will take over.
