Traffic Alert: A1 (M) in North Yorkshire closed northbound between junctions 50 and 51

The A1(M) in North Yorkshire is closed northbound this afternoon between junction 50 and junction 51 due to a collision.

North Yorkshire Police are on the scene and are being assisted by Highways England Traffic Officers.

Road users are advised to follow the “Hollow Triangle” diversion symbols. Exit the A1(M) at J50. At the roundabout take the second exit on to the A6055 (Bedale/Masham).

Proceed to the roundabout with the B6267. Take the second exit and stay on the A6055. At the Gatenby roundabout take the second exit on to the A6055 signed for Northallerton Bedale (A684).

Stay on the A6055 and at the next roundabout take the second exit on and continue on to the A6055 signed for “The South A1(M) and A6055. Proceed to the next roundabout then re-join the A1(M).
