Where do you live/where are you from?

Born in Hull  and now reside in Harrogate with the family.

What is your favourite place to visit in Yorkshire and why?

The area around Helmsley is a very special place, with stunning landscapes

What is still on your “to do” list in the region?

Yorkshire Sculpture Park is somewhere I need to make time to visit as it gets top reviews from anyone who visits it.

What is the most memorable meal you’ve ever had in Yorkshire?

Fish and Chips on Bridlington Seafront never fails to deliver, although the Chefs Table at The Star In Harome hold some special memories.

What is your most Yorkshire trait?

I like to think I am direct and honest with everyone I meet.

Favourite piece of trivia about the region?

Ripon is Britain’s oldest city, having been granted a charter by Alfred the Great in 886.

What is your favourite cultural icon to come out of Yorkshire?

William Wilberforce who brought around the abolition of the slave trade, we schooled together only 30 years apart!!

Worst experience or thing about Yorkshire?

Traffic and the way we just accept that its bad, more joined up thinking is needed to solve the problems.

What is one thing you’d steal from Lancashire (or other UK regions) if you could?

Our Friends in Manchester shout very loud about all their achievements, Leeds needs to do the same. We achieve some wonderful things that we need to celebrate more.

What is the most overrated thing about Yorkshire?

To my father’s disappointment I just don’t understand Yorkshire Puddings
