Law firm opens fourteenth office

A law firm has opened a new office in Barnsley, bringing its total number of premises in the region to fourteen.

The office, located on Regent Street, marks a continued period of expansion for Ison Harrison following the opening of offices in York and in Otley last year.

The new Barnsley branch will be headed up by clinical negligence solicitor, Anne Robertson, who was formerly based at the firm’s head office in Leeds.

Robertson, who lives in Barnsley is an active member of the local community. Previously a qualified nurse, she joined Ison Harrison in March 2018.

Robertson said: “Naturally I’m delighted that Barnsley has been selected as the latest addition to Ison Harrison’s growing number of regional offices as I know the area so well and understand its requirements from a business perspective. Living and now working in Barnsley presents a very exciting opportunity and I am pleased to help Ison Harrison continue its network expansion throughout Yorkshire.

“In addition to a vibrant business community, Barnsley also has a lively local community scene. Through my established connections, we intend to fully engage with this as a proactive team.”

Jonathan Wearing, managing partner, added: “Our expansion throughout the region continues with this latest office launch into South Yorkshire, helping us to further boost the firm’s regional footprint.

“Our continued growth is central to our objective of maintaining a visible high street presence as this helps us to strengthen relationships with our clients and the communities we operate in. We’re eager to get involved in local community activities in Barnsley and to begin providing the expert legal services for which we are well known across the region.”

The new legal practice will provide a full range of legal services for both business and private clients ranging from new build and conveyancing to family law and wills and probate matters.
