Planning specialist expands HQ space

A planning and development specialist has expanded its head office facilities, taking the last available lease within the Belle Vue Square development in Skipton.

Rural Solutions first moved into Belle Vue Square’s Canalside House five years ago. The firm has now taken additional office space within The Cotton Mill building, located within the same complex.

Developed by real estate investor and development company, Rushbond, Belle Vue Square on Broughton Road consists of approximately 150,000 sq ft of office, leisure and residential space, as well as a landscaped Civic square, within a cluster of listed former mill buildings.  All of the space is now fully let.

Calvert Construction carried out the ten-week interior fit out.

William Fry, Managing Director of Rural Solutions, said: “We moved to Canalside House in 2014 after 20 years at The Broughton Hall Estate. It’s a superb location, opposite Skipton’s train station and so close to the town centre, and its waterside position is very attractive.

“As our business has continued to flourish, the team has more than doubled over the last five years alone, we need additional space for our ever-expanding team. Crucially, this expansion also provides us with a range of high quality and easily accessible meeting rooms in an inspirational environment that will benefit clients and suppliers, as well as our entire team.

“We approached Rushbond to see if they could assist us with our additional requirements and they quickly put a plan together. The work has been carried out to the very high standards that we have become accustomed to within the entire development.  We can now continue with our growth strategy, and plan to further expand the team over the coming years both in Yorkshire and Oxfordshire, which we can easily accommodate thanks to the extra space created.”

Richard Baker, from Rushbond, added: “We are really pleased to work with an existing tenant to facilitate their ongoing expansion. We have successfully established a mixed use community within this part of Skipton, and our stand-out development of homes, office, retail and leisure space, has played an important role in the regeneration of these fabulous and iconic mill buildings.”
