Fast-growing wholesale firm increases space to 220,000 sq ft

International brand wholesaler and distributor Pricecheck has expanded its warehouse operations to cope with demand.

The Sheffield-based company, a fast-growing FMCG distributor, has acquired an additional 20,000 sq ft, taking its total warehouse space to 200,000 sq ft and with offices combined, to more than 220,000 sq ft.

As part of the ongoing investment, and as the company aims to reach £200m turnover by 2025, Pricecheck has also hired a new Warehouse Operations Manager.

Dan Smith brings a wealth of experience to Pricecheck having worked at FPS Distribution as Head of Warehouse Operations, at SIG as Group Supply Chain Project Manager and for seven years in various supply chain roles at Wilko’s.

This period of growth also sees an internal promotion as Mark Amos becomes Head of Operations. Amos, who has been with the company for more than 18 years, will oversee the expansion of the warehouse and wider operational processes.

Mark Lythe, joint MD of Pricecheck, said: “We have ambitious growth targets and will continue to invest in all areas of the business to ensure we remain on track to achieve those.

“We are delighted to welcome Dan to the team. He is highly experienced and will help us streamline process, grow the operation and expand our offering.

“Mark has been an invaluable member of the Pricecheck team and his promotion is thoroughly deserved, reflecting his wider remit across the business.”

Pricecheck is an international distributor of fast-moving consumer goods, offering more than 4,500 branded products to customers in the UK and to more than 80 countries globally.
