Deal agreed to turn former city centre bank premises into a bar
The former Lloyds Bank building on Park Row, Leeds city centre, is to become a bar.
The 7,500 sq ft unit is being occupied by The Head of Steam, a brand renowned for its wide selection of craft beers. The pub chain already has a pub on Mill Hill close to Leeds Station, and a sister site in Headingley.
The unit will open this summer and will be the brewer’s 16th site within the UK, with pubs already established in Hull, Huddersfield, Sheffield, Cardiff, Tynemouth, Newcastle, Nottingham, Liverpool, Durham, Manchester and Birmingham.
The latest Leeds venue will feature a large selection of UK and world beers. A range of premium cocktails, beer, wines, spirits and soft drinks will also be available, and food will be served daily.
Acting on behalf of CBRE Global Investors, the Retail team at CBRE in Leeds agreed terms at the former bank building to Camerons Brewery – trading as The Head of Steam.

Park Row is a prominent street in Leeds city centre which fuses the financial district with the main retail district and is an excellent location for a new The Head of Steam.
“The size and versatility of the venue has enabled the brewery to incorporate an experiential games area and offer room for private hire and tasting events.”
Chris Soley, Chief Executive at Camerons Brewery, said “Leeds is obviously a city we know very well and we have had great success with the two venues we have there already. We are looking for larger venues as part of our continued growth and we are delighted to have found the location on Park Row.
“This site allows us to include our latest food menu as well as providing the space for our experiential games area and also for private hire and tasting events.
“We would also like to thank CBRE who we worked closely with to acquire this venue and for their continued support as we look to expand our retail pub group.”
